Quick History

“Fondue” is a French word that comes from the past particle of the verb fondre, meaning to melt. It is invented in New York City in the early 1960s by a Swiss.

Ingredients:

  1. 1 (12 ounces) package white chocolate chips
  2. ½ cup heavy whipping cream, or more as needed
  3. ¼ cup light corn syrup
  4. 2 tablespoons butter
  5. ¼ teaspoon salt
  6. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Let’s make it!

Making this amazing fondue is not very complicated. All you need to do is to melt the chocolate chips, cream, corn syrup, butter, and salt all together while on top of a double boiler with simmering water under. Stir it regularly until smooth and until it looks glossy, more likely around 5 to 10 minutes. After that, remove the fondue from the heat and have it stirred with a vanilla extract.
